Week 28: Dos experiencias Espituales

Hey guys! Sorry I am really behind on emails so I am going to make this email short. This week I would just like to share two spiritual experiences that I had that really impacted my testimony so I would like to share them. One of the most amazing things that happened was when we were able to go to the temple with our converts. I remembered when we started to teach them and how different they were. I had the privilege of explaining what we were exactly going to do in the temple and how we were able to do work for those who have died. When we were in the temple, I felt really safe and at home. I used to go to the temple a lot and it was a feeling that I really missed. It really gave me the courage to keep going on my mission and that everything was going to be ok. Also, I was seeing Hermana Manuela and Hermano Mario being baptized and it hit me so hard that they were in the temple with us. We were just teaching them and now they are members of the church and were being baptized for other people to recieve the gospel. I almost started to get emotional because of these strong emotions that I felt with them and personally the things I felt. Its pretty amazing to see changes in people and I am so thankful for them. Also we had an experience with one man named Jorge. Jorge is new and we have had two lessons with him. This last time we taught him about the Book of Mormon and I felt the spirit so differently with him. He is very interesting and always has questions with us. We knock on a lot of doors and we talk in a lot of houses but I felt something really different with him. I felt at peace. It struck me pretty hard of how much Heavenly Father loves him. I felt a small part of the love that God has for that man. I bore testimony to him of the love that God has for him and he is a child of God. It really hit me so hard. We left him a Book of Mormon so that he could read it and we are going to visit him today and see how it went. I hope he will know of the truthfulness of it.

Week 27: Bautismos!

Hey guys! This week was really awesome. I am happy to say that we had 2 bautismos this week for Hermana Manuela and Hermano Mario. It is so awesome to see the change that they have made in their lives. It was super awesome to see them be baptized by Hermana Manuelas son! You can see the difference that they have made in their lives and they have opened up a lot more. Everything went really well and they were confirmed the Sunday morning after! It was really amazing. I think my favorite spiritual experience that I had this week besides the bautismos was with a member of the church. I recognized that this member hadn't gone to church for a while with his family. I wondered why. Lots of times we recieve slight small impressions from the spirit and it is necessary that we immediatley act on those impressions. As missionaries, we plan every morning (things we are going to do, who we will teach, and what we will teach). After I said a prayer, this family came to my mind. I realized that we hadn't visited them for a while and I actually felt really bad. We decided to go to their house. We arrived and the father of the family was there. We started talking and he told us that Satan really has been hard on him lately and that he feels really down on himself. For me, this is a really sensitive topic. I am tired of Satan making people feel like they are not important and that no one cares. I told the father that many times in our lives this happens. He tells us "No one realizes that you aren't at church" ,"No one cares about you", "You arent making a difference", "Give up. Its too hard. We are insignifcant and we cant make changes." After listening to his concerns I was filled up with emotion and needed to bear my testimony. I told him that Satan is the father of all lies. He wants us to think that we aren't important and that no one cares. Also, he wants us to think that we are alone. I told him that all that is a LIE. We will always be important to God. He is our Father. He loves and will never leave us. One of my favorite scriptures is D&C 18:10.( "Remember the worth of should is great in the sight of God") We are truly great! He loves us and He wants us to be happy. We are here on earth to have joy. Never forget that He is there. Keep on the path and never waiver. It wont be easy but its worth it. Hold on. I promise you all with all my soul that the sun will shine again. I love you all.

Week 26: 6 Meses Que Loco jajaja

HEYEEYYYYYY COMO HAN ESTADO TODOS QUE PASO QUE PASO QUE PASOOOOOOOO

I have made it 6 months! Pretty crazy! Things are good here and we are doing great! It is super hot here and it has been raining a little so its been SUPER HUMID. But, this week we have found a ton of success and we are still going. I am happy to say that we will get to baptize Hermana Manuela and Hermano Mario this weekend!!!! They are doing great and I am happy for the change that they want to make in their lives. Also, we have found some great people too. We found a mom and daughter and they are very interested in the church and I think thave been prepared to hear the Gospel. Also, we found a FAMILY! I am super happy that we found a whole family to teach also. Things are progressing very well with our investigators. One of my favorite spiritual experiences was when I was reading the Book of Mormon. I dont know what it is but the Book Of Mormon has been SO INTERESTING this passed couple of days. Not only are the stories true but they are so interesting too. Spend a little time this week reading the Book of Mormon you wont regret it! I have a lot of crazy stories jajaja! On Saturday at 11 at night the whole colonia lost power for like 2 hours. So, we didnt have air for 2 hours we WERE DYING jajja. Also, the next day, we were waiting for the bus to go to church and it never came jaja. We ended up going with an investigator and her family in her car. Then, her TIRE blew out and we were stranded!! I had to call a taxi and we arrived a little late a church but we didnt miss much. Then, I got a bloody nose at church. It was one thing after another. But, we had a good day! Overall this week was pretty normal but we are excited for the upcoming baptisms that we are going to have.

Week: 25 Una semana llena de cambios

This week has been full of changes! I am happy to say that I will finish my mission in the Hermosillo, Mexico mission. I am so glad that I will be able to be with Presidente Myers and that we will be able to continue in the Lords work. I have learned many things on my mission and one that I will try to put into every aspect of my life. Maybe I am not the best spanish teacher or the best teacher and maybe I dont know every bit of doctrine that there is but I KNOW when I dedicate all my time to the Lord, He will bless me. I have seen many experiences in my mission that He uses us to do His will. One example that I would like to share was when we were working one day. We literally worked THE ENTIRE day and knocked doors ALL DAY and we only found two people. One of the people was Hermana Lucia. We were walking to our house to end the day and we were very tired. When we passed by her house I felt like we needed to talk to her. We found out that she has a friend that is mormon and was interested in learning more about our church and beliefs. I learned it is so important to dedicate ALL our time to the Lord on our missions. I dont need to know what time Moses parted the Red Sea or what color of shoes he was wearing to be able to know that these things are true and the things that we are teaching are real. I am thankful I can dedicate all my time to him.

We have had many changes in the mission. I am training Elder Monge and he is from Guatemala! He is pretty awesome and I am grateful for this opportunity to train. I definitley dont feel adequate but I know the Lord will help me as I do all I can. As far as our invesitgators are going, Hermana Manuela and Hermano Mario are really progressing. Hermana Manuela told us "This is starting to make sense to me and I am really understanding" I was so happy when I heard this. I really think they are going to be baptized. We taught them the Word of Wisdom and everything went very well.

The last spiritual experience that I would like to share was when I got up one morning. I was sitting on my bed shining my shoes for the day and one of our old investigators came to my mind and that we needed to visit her. We decided to visit her at one point during the day. We arrived at her house and she told us that her sister is fighting cancer. We talked to her a little about the Plan of Salvation and how everyone has their plan in this life. I think she really needs comfort from our Heavenly Father. I hope that we will be able to visit more often and that she will progress because she is awesome. I am thankful for every impression of the spirit that I recieve and I NEVER want to not listen to those directions. Its so important to listen to the impressiones. If you don't know if its the spirit, ACT. If it is from the spirit, ACT. I want Heavenly Father to trust me with this gift. I know he will bless us when we dedicate our lives to him...100 percent. Maybe I don't have a lot l but I am giving it all to him. I know that he will carry us. This is my invitation this week. To give 100 percent to him. Everything that we have to offer. I promise you, with all my heart and soul that he will bless you as you do that. Thanks everyone for you support and I love you all!
