Week 52: Un Año

Wow. Its been a such a wonderful journey so far. I could have never imagined that one year could change a person so much. I have many experiences that have changed me and have let me known tha God really exists. I always knew he did but it has been a reminder of all that I have been given and learned. I feel so grateful to be in the true church of our Lord Jesus Christ. This week we had our first sunday with the program Come Follow Me. We had the first lesson with the Parral Family (converts that were recently baptized) and it was a great experience. I remind you all to not forget about this because it is so important! This week we have a baptism planned Sister Mayra. She has a baptismal date for this week and if there is anything I could for it would be for her. Please everyone that is reading this email we would love for your prayers so that everything can turn out well. This week we had 8 investigators at church which was pretty rad. I wanted to share experience too that was pretty special. We didnt have anyone to teach one night and we said a prayer to be able to find someone to teach and we approached a house that was very poor. We sang a hymn and we were able to share a message of peace. These days we have seen a lot of drug addiction. We have seen people taking drugs in front of us and many things that are really hard. One of our investigators this week told us that he wasnt going to be baptized which was really hard to hear. We will continue working with him but we realize that everyone has there own time. This week we also had a meeting with our stake president. His name is President Santana. He is 29 years old! He was called as a bishop when he was 28 and is super rad. We are now recieving a lot of help from the stake. This week I hada strong impression that came to my mind. It was "God wants all of his children to work together in his work." It was simple but very strong. I would ask that all of you at home would look for opportunities to serve in unity in your wards. God isnt a God of division or confusion. As Paul says, "God isnt a God of confusion but of peace". It is so important. The last experience that I want to share was in the morning. We met a man named Arturo and we put baptismal date on the first visit. He is a reference from President Myers and he is awesome. We will see what will happen with him and I hope to still be in this area to see his baptism. Please help us pray for Sister Mayra this saturday!
